Been on a reading/watch/writing slump recently, which makes me wonder how I’ve been spending all that time. To be fair, the clinics have been getting busier, and I’m starting to reconsider my 4-day clinic week. But I will try to insist on it for as long as I can!
To remedy this multimedia slump I went for things that don’t require a lot of effort. While Smoketh and Rosa were working, I dove into Becky Albertalli’s Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda, and was able to breeze through it. I saw the movie Love, Simon on a plane years ago, really enjoyed it, but couldn’t finish the Love, Victor spin-off. When I attended a convention in NYC years ago I saw Nick Robison walking out of the backdoor and signing a few autographs after To Kill A Mockingbird. I yelled hi and he said hi back with a smile that lit up the entire Manhattan. And then he walked away by himself into the ether.

Since Netflix can read my thoughts, it suggested a Christina Milian rom-com, Falling INN Love, about Christina Milian who encounters work problems in corporate USA, moves to New Zealand, and falls in love with a hot hunk Adam Demos. It is the most formulaic rom-com of all, just the way I like it. I was then suggested, another Christina Milian rom-com, Resort To Love, where she goes to a Resort and coincidentally comes across her her ex-fiancee. For a third serving of formula, there’s A Perfect Pairing, where Victoria Justice encounters work problems in corporate USA, moves to Australia, and falls in love with a hot hunk Adam Demos. Wait, what. I decided not to finish the last one.
